Every week three periods are earmarked in the time-table for seminar activities like Paper Presentation and Discussion by the students and teachers. Teachers guide the students for preparation of Project Reports which is a part of the curriculum. Eminent Academics are also invited on various occasions to deliver lecture in the special seminars.
The college has had the credit of conducting a series of U.G.C sponsored and other National Seminars and Workshops by the Departments of Political Science, Psychology, Botany and Biotechnology.
Extension Programmes :-
Every year the final year students of Anthropology, Sociology and History go on Extension Programmes for 15 days to remote pockets of the State for interaction with the Tribal and Rural people. They have worked with Sabar, Bauri, Santal and Munda tribes and Bell Metal workers. The students visited the Archaeological site at SISUPALGARH and had first hand information on excavation by Archeological Survey of India.
The students of the Department of Biotechnology (honours) visited the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology, Hyderabad in 2006-2007 and Indian Institute of Science,Bangalore and Bangalore University, Bangalore to learn different types of laboratory techniques.
